S.C.O.P.E.

 

The Summer Community Outreach Program of Enrichment is a low cost 8 week summer program that encompasses academic and cultural enrichment. The program provides children with an opportunity for continuing education while on summer vacation and also provides cultural stimulation as well.

 

The staff of the S.C.O.P.E. are one of the most well rounded and experienced individuals in the area. All of the staff have passed a Level II background check, 80% are certified teaching staff, and over 85% of staff has a bachelor’s degree or above. S.C.O.P.E. also boasts of one healthcare professional, and an ESE certified/Early Childhood Development teacher.

 

S.C.O.P.E. is housed in the John Adams Young Family Life Center of Ward Temple AME Church. This 6500 sq. ft. facility is less than 10 years old and has 3 class rooms, a dance studio, and a large social hall.

 

The 2014 program will provide kids with Reading, Science, and Math instruction for the academic portion, and Technology, Dance, and Music instruction for the cultural enrichment. Our program also provides a values education curriculum to ensure a safe environment where every child can experience positive growth socially and emotionally.

 

S.C.O.P.E offers free breakfast and lunch for each child, and free weekly field trips.

SCOPE begins 6/16/2014 and runs through 8/8/2014.
