S.C.O.P.E.
The Summer Community Outreach Program of Enrichment is provided each year to 60 or more community children to provide academic and cultural enrichment.
Young Women's Initiative (YWI)
Psalm 150 Sacred Arts
Psalm 150 uses the arts to express worship for Christ. This includes, but is not limited to , liturgical dance, instumentation, and arts/crafting.
Ward Temple Lay Organization
The Ward Temple Lay Organization provides an opportunity for members to make a difference and help educate all of the membership on the beliefs of the AME Church and shape our way of thinking to relate, teach and reach one another.
Ward Temple is the home church for a number of St. Petersburg District Lay Organization Officers, namely the SPDLO President, Alicia Cotton, the SPDLO 2nd Vice President, Gloria Davis, and the SPDLO Corresponding Secretary Sylvia Archie.
Ward Temple Choir #1
The Ward Temple AME Church Adult choir is celebrating its 99th year anniversary! See anniversary pictures from their grand celebration here! -- Three of the four weeks in a month they provide a stimulating performance to enrich those who attend Sunday services.
Ward Temple Ushers
The Ward Temple Board provide phoenominal service to the church performing a number of duties for the church service. The history of any usher board can be found in the Bible. The organization was given various names and titles, “Doorkeepers”, “Watchman”, “Gatekeeper”, etc. One can look at the long reign of King David and actually see the division and assignment of duties to the various Levite clans. These strong religious men and women were forerunners of the modern usher boards. The Senior Usher Boards of Bethel has been in organized existence for over 90 years.
Sons of Allen Men in Ministry
The Sons of Allen Ministry, the official Men's Ministry of the African Methodist Episcopal Church fosters an atmosphere where men are inspired through worship, study and prayer to have fellowship and relationship with God and their fellowmen. The Sons of Allen will build men as providers, protectors, producers, and priests for their families and the community of the faithful.
Young People and Children's Division (YPD)
The Ward Temple YPD are doing great things. The YPD under the leadership of the Women's Missionary Society provides meaningful youth training programs and opportunities for leadership experience in all areas of church life. By providing training in Evangelism, Christian Social Relations, and Education programs the YPD is designed to connect youth more fully to the mission of the church and increase knowledge of the African Methodist Episcopal Church history and the scriptures.
